Hello out there...

So on the occasion that I check to see who has visited the site, I notice that although the visitors are going up, still not that many, check my site meter which began 7/24/04, the comments have fallen off the map since I switched to Haloscan... what gives? You can email me at mlh at marvinhutchens dot com if you want to tell me. But frankly, I'd rather have the comments back than see readership go up.

Right Wing News' John Hawkins has a good piece on getting readers... I don't expect to have the 6000 visitors a day he has, or to be Andrew Sullivan or Glenn Reynolds. I do this for the joy of doing it, however, I do enjoy conversing with those who comment. All of which seem to have fallen off the planet. Enough whining, enjoy your day.

Update:

Baldilocks tells how to build a blog worth having. I agree with this:

"If your main goal is to get the big numbers, then you’re fighting a losing battle. With blogging, your main goal should be—as with any endeavor—to love what you’re doing."
