France needs refresher course on Liberty
Yes, Lady Liberty came to the U.S. from France, but in the time that has passed, the U.S. has done so much more to continue Liberty as a cause around the world, while upholding personal Liberty here. France on the other hand, bans religious attire from schools, teaching children that liberty is defended by the removal of liberty. And of course, now that the tactic, along with other French appeasements, has failed, they refuse to remove the law while their citizens, 2 journalists, are held hostage.
They should not remove the ban to appease the terrorist, however, the ban should be removed, and they should be flogged (just kidding) for having passed it in the first place. Whether they tried to make it cross religious boundaries or not, it was wrong.
Franco socialism, or Franco fascism will not defeat terror, it will appease with one hand and instigate with the other. Liberty will defeat Islamo Fascism.
